I'm Lindsey Keller, the owner of Urban Threads clothing boutique. I grew up in Sioux Falls and went to college in Brookings, SD at SDSU to become an elementary teacher. After meeting my husband, we moved to Milbank, SD where his family farms. I taught first grade for 4 years and opened my store on Main Street in September of 2016. Since then, I have resigned from teaching and although I miss being in the classroom, I enjoy getting to know ladies from my community by helping them find outfits that make them feel beautiful and confident.
My husband has been nothing but supportive since I told him about this big dream of mine. From steaming clothes to moving racks (only to move them back to where they were originally), he has been my encouraging partner through it all. He even comes to market with me and does his best to give me his honest opinion on which shade of cranberry tunic I should order. We are proud fur parents to a mini Golden Doodle named Barkley. He is 3 years old and has just as much energy as when we first brought him home. We joke that he's "old enough to know better" but secretly love his spunky personality.
